UPDATE: Lexington Police now say assault victim wasn’t shot

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man who appeared to have been shot, suffering life-threatening injuries, wasn’t shot and is expected to survive an assault.

Police say they found the man lying between two trailers in the Imperial Trailer Park on Loudon Avenue just after midnight Monday.  They say it looked like the man had been shot.  He was rushed to UK Hospital where it was determined he hadn’t been shot, but was suffering serious injuries from an assault, according to investigators.

Detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington Police at 859-258-3600.
