UPDATE: Lexington murder suspect arrested in Iowa
DES MOINES, IA (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to a Lexington murder was arrested in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators say the U.S. Marshals Service Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force took 35-year old Valenti Ware into custody without incident.
He’s charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Meghan Acord.
Her body was found October 1 near the railroad tracks in the Loudon Avenue and Eastland Drive area.
Police think Ware and Acord knew each other.
Ware was lodged in the Polk County, Iowa Jail.
