Update: Lexington Jail Escapee Recaptured

Lexington Police recaptured a jail escapee Thursday afternoon on Cross Keys Road, according to a spokesperson from the Fayette County Detention Center.

The jail said Woodrow Gibbins didn’t return from a court-ordered medical pass on Wednesday.

He has been charged with Escape 2nd Degree.

Gibbins was initially in jail on a Probation Violation – Circuit, according to the jail.
