UPDATE: KY Will Now Recognize Some Same-Sex Marriages

Same-sex marriages performed in other states now have to be recognized in Kentucky.

Federal Judge John Heyburn issued the final order Thursday.

He first announced the ruling on February 12th.

It’s not clear yet as to how the order would affect a request from State Attorney General Jack Conway to delay the decision by 90 days.

Despite the ruling, same-sex marriages still can’t be performed in Kentucky.
