UPDATE: Juvenile charged in Laurel County shooting
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Wednesday night in a shooting. The teen suspect’s name is not being released because of his age. But deputies say he was arrested in Lexington.
Laurel deputies say 20-year-old Trey Hedrick was shot on June 10 in a home on Taylor Bridge Road. According to investigators, 19-year-old Deontae Williams of Lexington and the juvenile male, also of Lexington, followed a 16-year-old girl into the home and shot Hedrick. His injuries were described as non-life threatening.
Williams and the teen girl were arrested back in June. Deputies say both are charged with attempted murder; robbery– first-degree; theft by unlawful taking – firearm; and theft by unlawful taking under $500. Investigators say the male juvenile, who was arrested in Lexington, is charged with Attempted Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
