UPDATE: Judge Says DNA Sample Needed From Teen Murder Suspect

A teenager accused of murdering a Lexington gas station clerk was back in court Friday.

A judge told Travis Bredhold’s defense attorney that the court needed a DNA sample from Bredhold in order to move forward in the case.

Bredhold is accused of gunning down Mike Patel last December in a Lexington Marathon station.

The judge Friday agreed that there was probable cause for the DNA test.

Bredhold is scheduled to be back in court in May.
