Update: Interstate Reopens In Fayette County After Cement Mixer Accident

Lexington Police said early Monday evening that the ramp from Interstate 64 to northbound Interstate 75 at the northern split in Fayette County was reopened.

That section of the Interstate was closed late Monday afternoon after an 80,000 pound cement mixer flipped on its side on the ramp.

No one was reported injured, according to police.

The accident did impact afternoon commute traffic.

Police said traffic was moving normally again in the affected area.
