UPDATE: Henderson fire’s victim identified
SMITH MILLS, Ky. (WTVQ) — KSP and Henderson County Coroner’s office identified the body found in the Henderson County fire.
Fourty-year-old Roxanna J Jones had lived in the building, according to State Police.The coroner has reported that, according to the initial autopsy, the woman died from smoke inhalation.
Investigators say it’s too early to determine if the fire was an accident, arson or suspicious in nature. State Police say right now it is being treated as a death and fire investigation. The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Newman Street, according to KSP.
