Update: Guilty Plea In Animal Cruelty Case In Woodford County
A woman accused of neglecting more than 20-animals pleaded guilty on Monday, according to court officials.
Cheryl Ford was charged with animal cruelty and failure to dispose of a carcass.
Last April, authorities said they found 16 dead horses, along with dead donkeys, dogs and chickens on a farm in Midway.
Ford was sentenced to 90-days in jail to be followed by 90-days of house arrest, according to officials.
Ford will also be on probation for two years after serving her sentence and she won’t be allowed to own any animals during that time, according to court officials.
