Update: Four Lexington Schools Affected By Reported Police Standoff

The Fayette County School District says four schools were affected Thursday afternoon by a reported police standoff.

The district says it contacted parents of children who live in the Woodhill and Osage Court area and are bused home from Edith J. Hayes Middle School, Henry Clay High School, Breckinridge Elementary School and Crawford Middle School.

Parents of those students were being asked instead to pick up their children from school.

Investigators said the changes came as police surrounded a house in the Woodhill area.

The district says other school buses ran as scheduled.
