UPDATE: Four children, two adults killed in Wayne County crash ID’d
WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Troopers in Wayne County now say it was four children and two adults who died in a collision on a highway.
The accident happened just before six Friday evening. Troopers say they don’t know what caused a car, with six people inside to cross the center lane and hit a pickup head on.
It happened near Monticello. Those victims have been identified by the Wayne County Coroner says 41-year-old Tena Proctor and 25-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Ellis were the two adults killed.
The children have been identified as 12-year-old Nathan Proctor, 4-year-old Christian Barnhouse, 2-year-old Zoe Bertram and 17-month-old Jace Bertram.
The coroner says Mrs. Proctor was mother to Sarah and Nathan and grandmother to the younger children. Troopers say the two people in the truck were taken to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
