UPDATE: Former U.K. football player cleared of rape charge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A former U.K. football player accused of rape has been cleared.

The Courier-Journal says a grand jury heard evidence for three days before deciding not to indict Lloyd Tubman.

According to police, his ex-girlfriend claimed last October that Tubman had raped her in her dorm room on the U.K. campus.

Tubman was then suspended from the team.

U.K. Athletics says Tubman is currently not enrolled at the school.
