UPDATE: Fayette Schools Hosting Two Open Forums On Budget Cuts

Fayette County Schools announced it would host two public meetings as it looks at ways to cut its budget by $20 million.

The meetings were scheduled for Thursday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 11th.

Both would be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Northeast Christian Church on Star Shoot Parkway in Lexington.

The district said the forums were set up in response to a request from the Fayette County Education Association.

It said the public meeting on March 11th would mostly be for employees.
