UPDATE: Escaped inmate arrested, investigated

IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The State Police was contacted on Thursday morning around 7:30 a.m., about a bicyclist in Estill County that matched the description of Jason Gay.

Officials say 37-year-old Jason Gay was found and arrested without incident after KSP dispatched several troupers to Eck Hollow Road.

Charged with the theft of an automobile on top of the escape, State Police say Gay has been lodged in Estill County Detention center.

Investigation is ongoing.
