UPDATE: Domino’s Worker In Critical Condition After Attempted Robbery
Investigators say Zoe Reed, 20, was working alone at the store in Danville Monday night when it happened.
Police said Reed was taken to a Danville hospital and later flown to UK Hospital. She’s had two emergency surgeries.
Only a single bullet shell casing was found by police. The Domino’s manager said she was shot in the torso.
People who live and work around the area are shocked and concerned.
“First reaction is shock obviously,” said Jack Williams who works at the State Farm office next door. “Hopefully, prayerfully she’ll pull through that’s the main thing and then they’ll catch him.”
“You know a town like this, you don’t think stuff like this could happen but it does,” said Justin McCormick who lives near the Domino’s.
The store manager said someone called in a fake pizza delivery order and that’s why Reed was alone in the store when she was shot.
Police said there is no surveillance video and so far no witnesses.
There are no arrests yet in the case.
Danville Police want to talk to anyone who was in the area of Fourth Street last night between ten and 10:30.
