UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Woman Killed in Madison County Crash
According to the coroner, Chelsea Carroll Harnack, 22, from Richmond, Ky. was pronounced dead on the scene. The coroner said she died from blunt force trauma in the crash.
Emergency crews responded to the accident on Four Mile and Dunbar Road just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department said the car left the road, flipped several times and landed in a tree line.
All three people inside were thrown from the car, the sheriff’s office said.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the car in flames.
Two others were taken to University of Kentucky hospital, at least one suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Deputies said speed was a factor in the crash, but aren’t yet sure if alcohol or drugs played a factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff.
