Update: Coroner Identifies Cyclist Killed In Lexington

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified a cyclist, who Lexington Police say was hit and killed Thursday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Thomas Kerr, 53, of Lexington.

The Coroner’s report lists the cause of death as multiple blunt force trauma.

The report also says the death is being investigated as "Accidental."

Lexington Police say Kerr was hit on his bicycle by an SUV near the corner of Russell Cave Road and Park Place.

The collision happened just after 2:00 p.m.

Police say the driver and a passenger in the SUV were not hurt.

The case is still under investigation.
