UPDATE: Coroner identifies body found in reservoir

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has released the name of man found in a reservoir in Lexington last week.

Coroner Gary Ginn says the victim is 43-year-old William Lee Smith.

Smith was discovered in a reservoir off Richmond Road on Thursday after someone passing by noticed a body in the water.

Ginn says Smith’s death is the result of an accidental drowning.
