UPDATE: Catholic Action Center Still Needs Winter Supplies
Aside from requesting additional coats and blankets, they said they also need cleaning supplies (like bleach) and coffee, creamer, and sugar.
Financial donations are also being accepted to help pay the increasing costs of utilities for the organization, as well as the transitional housing the group provides.
On Thursday morning at 7, the Catholic Action Center’s mascot, Manje Man, will be on the corner of Main Street and Midland Avenue (in front of the Herald Leader office), trying to gain public support.
Donations can be dropped off at GodsNet, at 614 East Seventh Street in Lexington. Deliveries will be accepted between 10am and 2pm, Monday through Saturday.
Monetary donations can be made by PayPal through the group’s website, godsnet.info, or mailed to P.O. Box 324, Lexington, Kentucky 40588.
