UPDATE: Burse To Serve Again As KSU President
The interim president of Kentucky State University will take the job permanently.
The board of regents voted unanimously Friday to name Raymond Burse as the school’s 14th president.
Burse had served as interim president since last July.
He said, "The job to be done is not a 12-month job..it requires a longer period of service. I’m pleased to be in that position again to serve Kentucky State University.”
Burse had previously served as KSU’s president from 1982 to 1989.
The Hopkinsville native then went to work as an executive at General Electric before he retired in 2012.
