UPDATE: Boyle County crash victim identified
DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- We know the name of the man killed in a Boyle County crash involving a Danville Fire Department SUV a day ago.
67-year-old Edward Weiss, of Fort Wright, Kentucky was killed, according to the Boyle County Coroner. A passenger on the motorcycle he was driving was also injured. That person was flown to UK with life-threatening injuries and at last check was in serious condition.
It happened around 10:45 Friday morning at the intersection of Hustonville Road and the bypass. Investigators say the fire departement SUV was headed to a vehicle fire. The motorcycle Weiss was driving, hit the passenger side of the SUV.
Two other vehicles collided as well. Investigators say the fire department SUV had its emergency equipment activated at the time of the crash which is still under investigation
