UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory Extended For Mallard Point In Georgetown
A 24-hour boil water advisory issued Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 6:30 PM for Kentucky American Water customers in the Mallard Point area of Georgetown, was extended for an additional 12 hours, until 6:30 AM October 25, 2014.
The advisory was extended because the repair to the broken water main on Cincinnati Pike (US 25) took longer than anticipated, according to the company.
The advisory affects all customers north of Harbor Village Drive up to and including customers on Wright Lane.
Approximately 375 Kentucky American Water customers are affected.
During a boil water advisory, it is recommended that customers boil for three minutes any tap water they intend to use for consumption, such as for drinking, cooking or making ice.
After boiling water, let it cool before consuming.
Customers with questions regarding the boil water advisory should call Kentucky American Water’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-678-6301.
The center is available 24 hours a day.
