Update: Body found in Clear Fork River identified as missing man
WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The body of a man found in the Clear Fork River in Whitley County on Monday has been positively identified as a missing man from Ohio.
The Whitley County Coroner has identified the man as 54-year-old Randall Alan Walker.
Authorities say Walker went missing in the Whitley County area on January 24, 2017, after stopping with a friend at a rest area off of I-75.
The cause and manner of death are still under investigation.
The Sheriff says the body was spotted Monday morning by a man driving along the highway around 9:20 a.m.
The body was caught on a limb off of US 25W in the Clear Fork River, according to the sheriff.
Investigators say the Clear Fork River had been running high, but receded, revealing Walker’s body.
