UPDATE: Arrests Made After Man Found Murdered At Car Wash
Joseph Sledge, 29, and Kavion Thomas, 24, were charged with murder and first degree robbery, Lexington Police detectives said during an afternoon press conference.
During the press conference, detectives asked for the public’s help to find Theresa Jarrett, 26, and Thomas Lucky, 38. Police said they might be connected to the homicide and are considered "persons of interest."
Detectives said, anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jarrett or Lucky is asked to call Lexington Police at 859-258-3700.
Detectives did not release any new details on the investigation at the press conference.
ABC 36 News has been able to confirm that police were originally called for report of a suspicious person in the back of the closed car wash around 7:30 p.m. Monday. When officer’s arrived they found a man, in his 50’s, dead.
Lexington Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said it appears the man was beaten in the head. But she said detectives don’t yet know if that’s the official cause of death.
The Fayette County coroner has not yet released the victim’s identity or the official cause of death.
Police said the car wash police has been closed for a few months. Police wouldn’t say if the victim had any connection to the car wash.
