UPDATE: Adjustments made to Booneville boil water advisory

BOONEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – There were adjustments in the early hours of Saturday to a boil water advisory in parts of Owsley County.  The advisory was initially issued Friday evening.

Water officials say the advisory was lifted around 1:00 a.m. for customers in Levi/Foxhunters Knob to the Lee County line.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for customers in the Travelers rest Vincent area, according to water officials.

The advisory was issued after a water main was broken during construction along Highway 30, according to water officials.

Affected customers should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes until further notice.
