UPDATE: 75-year-old woman dies in Lexington crash, man charged with DUI, say police

UPDATE: Lexington police say the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. He’s identified as 65-year-old Stephen Barber.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) Police are investigating two separate injury collisions that occurred Sunday evening along Man o’ War Boulevard.

The first crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Man o’ War and Clearwater Way. According to Lexington Police, two vehicles were involved, and one of the drivers was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She has since passed away. The Fayette County Coroner has identified her as 75-year-old Linda Johnson of Lexington. An autopsy is scheduled to take place Tuesday.

About an hour later, a second crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Man o’ War and Harrodsburg Road. Police say that crash also involved two vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say no criminal charges are expected in either case.
