Uninsured get ‘Free Dental Day’ in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Area dentists, hygienists and assistants donated their time to ensure the dental health of the uninsured.

The Free Dental Day lasted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at a couple area dental offices. ABC 36 crews stopped in at Commonwealth Smiles where services like fillings, cleanings and minor extractions were being offered free of cost.

The groups says knowing 700 Fayette County residents are currently on waiting lists at local free clinics motivated them to provide free care to their neighbors.
