Vigils set to honor victims of fatal apartment fire in Winchester
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A candlelight vigil for three victims who died in an apartment fire in Winchester has been set for Wednesday at 9 p.m.
The vigil for 29-year-old Tina Reynolds, 36-year-old Donald Hisle and 71-year-old Dixie Everman will be held at B & P Apartments on Springmist Lane.
A judge entered a not guilty plea on Monday for Jackie Hisle, 55, the man accused of causing the fire. He is charged with manslaughter in connection to the fire.
The Clark County Coroner says six people were also taken to the hospital with burns, broken bones and smoke inhalation.
Eastside Baptist Church in Winchester has started a donation center. They are collecting food, clothing, toiletry items and other items to help these families get back on their feet. The church says it will be open all day Monday for people to drop off donations.
