Mother accused of burning son in hot bath

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington mother is accused of criminal abuse after police say she put her young son is a scalding bath.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Jimicia Clay put the two-year-old boy in the scalding-hot bath water as punishment.

The child suffered second-degree and third-degree burns as a result.

Documents say this happened last week.

Clay was arrested on Tuesday.
