POLICE: Man found shot early New Year’s Day

LEXINGTON, Ky, (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is in critical condition after being shot in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Police say that man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Investigators say that call came in at around 5:30 Friday morning.

Authorities say the victim was lying on the ground in a driveway and near a truck when he was found by a passerby. Police say the man was rushed to University of Kentucky Hospital.

Investigators are looking into the circumstances that led to the man being shot.

Friday morning, police were combing the neighborhood, knocking on doors and asking everyone if they saw or heard anything.
