Pedestrian seriously injured in Laurel Co. hit and run

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities in Laurel County want to find the driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that left a man seriously injured.

The Laurel County Sheriff says the driver struck 26-year-old Willie Hubbard while he was walking along Kentucky 552, near the landfill south of London at 3:15 p.m.

Hubbard was knocked into the ditch and seriously injured.

He was airlifted to Lexington for treatment.

The sheriff says debris from the vehicle involved was found at the scene.

Deputies are investigating the crash and ask anyone with any information call the Laurel County Sheriff’s office.
