Update: Speedway store robbed again, 2 in custody

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Speedway store is held up again – the fourth time in less than a week – but this time, police say they believe they caught up to the robbers.

Police have arrested Joshua Wayne Rector and William Joseph Riley in connection to the latest robbery.
Investigators say one of the men went in with a handgun and robbed the Speedway on Paris Pike, while another stood outside.

Authorities say Riley and Rector then got into a car nearby.

Police say they had officers in the area who spotted the car leaving and chased it.

One of the suspects got out and ran, but was caught.

The driver kept going, but police caught up with him on Cane Run Road.

Police don’t believe this is tied to three recent Speedway robberies.
