Speedway store robbed for second time in two days

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An early-morning robbery sends police to a Lexington convenience store for the second time in two days.

The latest robbery at the Speedway on Paris Pike happened Wednesday morning just after 3 a.m.

Police say a clerk was standing outside when he was approached by a man with a metal pipe.

He ordered the clerk to go inside and made him take money from the register, according to police.

The suspect then took off.

On Monday, police say a man came into the store three times then, on the fourth visit, he was armed with a knife and robbed the store.

Police say they are not yet sure if these two robberies are connected.
