Woman stabbed after being punched while sleeping
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman says she was attacked while she slept and now police say they are looking for her boyfriend.
Police say they were called to Fairmont Court just before 11:30 Sunday night to find a woman suffering from stab wounds to her abdomen.
She told police she was sleeping when her boyfriend punched her in the face.
She says he then grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her.
He ran off and she ran to the neighbors, who called police.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police say they are still looking for the suspect.
