LPD: Suspect goes into store 3 times, robs it on 4th trip

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man made a few trips to a Lexington convenience store then decided to rob it.

Police got a hold-up alarm at the Speedway on Paris Pike at 1:43 a.m. Monday.

They say the clerk told them a man came into the store three times and bought something each time.

Then, he came in a fourth time and this time, he was armed with a knife, according to the clerk. He demanded money and took off.

Police believe he ran to a church parking lot nearby and got into a car.

They are reviewing surveillance video from the store and should not have a hard time getting a good look at the suspect – police say he wasn’t covering his face.
