Gossett murder suspect to be arraigned Friday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect arrested in the murder of a lexington teen is scheduled to appear before a judge Friday.
Police say 18-year-old Jamaal Gossett was found in his SUV on Kent Drive with a gun shot to the head on November 22.
Investigators now say the teenager’s death was the result of a robbery.
On Thursday police arrested 22-year-old Terry L. Farrell. Farrell is accused of murder and robbery. Court documents reveal that Farrell is from Louisville and he and Gossett did not know each other.
Police say on the night of Gossett’s death, Farrell threatened to rob Gossett with a gun. Then court documents say Farrell ‘intentionally killed the victim’ by using his firearm.
It was not made clear what was taken from the victim during that robbery or if others were involved.
Farrell is now scheduled to appear before a judge Friday to answer to the charges against him.
