UK’s DanceBlue 2022 to be in-person marathon

Last in-person event was in 2020 right before the pandemic began
LEXINGTON, Ky. (UK Public Relations) The University of Kentucky DanceBlue marathon will take place March 5-6, 2022.

Last year, DanceBlue, like many other campus organizations, had to reevaluate its normal operations due to COVID-19. Still, without its usual in-person 24-hour marathon, DanceBlue 2021 raised $1,011,115.49 all for the kids in the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

This year, DanceBlue plans to return in full force with an in-person marathon. The 2022 leadership team is optimistic about what this year will hold.

“Last year was an amazing year, but we are so excited to stand together, united for our mission,” said Nick Joseph, DanceBlue overall chair. “We will follow all University of Kentucky event guidelines and policies for safety and will adapt our plans should these guidelines change.”

DanceBlue has hosted other in-person fundraising events this year, including its silent auction and 5K race. The no-sitting, no-sleeping marathon will take place at Memorial Coliseum. To stay up to date on other DanceBlue announcements, visit www.DanceBlue.org.
