UK tuition on the rise
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The price of an education is on the rise for students attending the University of Kentucky next year.
The UK Board of Trustees has approved a 3% tuition and fee increase for in-state students. That will mean an increase of 158 dollars per semester, making a grand total of $10,780 for the year. Housing costs will go up three percent and dining costs 3.5 percent.
University officials say the increase would bring the four-year average rate of increase for resident students to its lowest levels in nearly a decade.
