UK Students Complain Of Smell-Illness In Chemistry-Physics Building
The Chemistry and Physics Building on Rose Street on the University of Kentucky campus was evacuated Monday night after some students complained of an odor that they said caused them to get headaches.
The Lexington Fire Department and University of Kentucky Police responded to the scene to try to determine the source of the odor.
The Fire Department set up a command post at the scene.
The school said no injuries were reported and that there wasn’t any property damage.
A release from the school said students in room 225 first complained of the odor and feeling sick. They left the building on their own and called campus police.
The initial call came in just before 9:00 p.m.
