UK Softball is going dancing for the 16th consecutive year
CLEMSON, Sc. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky softball is putting on their dancing shoes, yet again. The wildcats (29-26) were selected on Sunday as an at-large team out of the SEC conference.
Kentucky will be taking on the wildcats of Northwestern (29-28-1) in the NCAA Clemson Regional. Meanwhile, the 11-seed tigers will be taking on USC Upstate. The regional follows a double-elimination format.
All 14 eligible SEC teams were selected for the NCAA Softball Tournament, setting a new record for the most teams from a single conference to make the field. Texas A&M earned the No. 1 overall seed, and the SEC dominated the bracket with nine schools hosting regionals—seven of them earning top-eight seeds.
Kentucky will play on May 16th at 2 p.m. ET.
