UK sexual assault suspect due back in court
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The man accused of sexual assault on the University of Kentucky’s campus is due back in court this morning.
According to court records, 21-year-old Saif Al-Khafaji is charged with sexual abuse and indecent exposure.
Police say Al-Khafaji is accused of sexually assaulting someone on November 10, 2024, while the victim was walking near the intersection of Rose Street and Euclid Avenue.
According to officers, Al-Khafaji is also charged in connection to a separate report of indecent exposure.
He pleaded not guilty during an arraignment earlier this month.
He is due in court for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 this morning.
