UK men’s basketball team delivers lunches to Picadome Elementary
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Kentucky men’s basketball team is delivering packed lunches to Picadome Elementary school Friday.
It’s part of the UK Athletics’ God’s Pantry program.
UK Athletics says the players will also be participating in physical education activity with the students.
UK Athletics says this is the 10th year they’ve partnered with God’s Pantry of Lexington to help pack and distribute food-filled grocery bags to kids across Fayette County.
They say by the end of the 2019-2020 school year, 6,825 lunches will be delivered.
The men’s basketball team will deliver lunches to Cassidy, Landsdowne and Picadome elementary schools throughout the day Friday.
