UK men’s and women’s basketball announce SEC/ACC challenge opponents
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The third annual SEC/ACC Challenge is set for early December, with both the Kentucky men’s and women’s basketball teams drawing notable matchups.
The Kentucky men will host North Carolina on Dec. 2 at Rupp Arena, marking a marquee showdown between two historic programs. Kentucky is 18-25 all-time against the Tar Heels but has won five of the last seven meetings, including an 87-83 victory in the 2023 CBS Sports Classic.
On the women’s side, Kentucky will take on Miami in Coral Gables, Florida on Dec. 3. The cats leads the all-time series 6-2. The Wildcats last faced the Hurricanes in 2017, resulting in a 65-54 road loss. Their only win in Miami came back in 1986.
