UK fraternity volunteers time on 9/11 to veterans’ cemetery
WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Members of UK’s Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity spent time at a Kentucky veterans’ cemetery Sunday morning in remembrance of the attacks on September 11th.
The fraternity says one of its values is patriotism, and aligning with that the group worked to beautify the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North in Williamstown.
The group cleaned headstones, picked up trash, pulled weeds, cut grass, and installed mulch throughout the grounds.
Alpha Sigma Phi says the event is also a National Day of Service act.
