UK dominates Duke 74-63

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – UK proved it will once again be a force to be reckoned with by taking care of Duke with relative ease in the opening game of the State Farm Champions Classic in Chicago.  74-63 the final.

Tyler Ulis led the way for the Cats, scoring a game-high 18 points and dishing out 6 assists.

Freshman guard Jamal Murray poured in 16 points, 5 rebounds while snagging 5 steals.

Marcus Lee finished with a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds, as his night ended early fouling out.

Isaiah Briscoe had 12 points while Alex Poythress added a nice game off the bench, 9 points, 7 boards for the senior forward.

Kentucky forced 16 turnovers while only turning it over 9 times itself.

Next up for the Cats, Wright State Friday night at Rupp Arena.  The SEC Network will have the live broadcast at 8 o’clock.
