UK Defense Talks Triple Option
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The football Cats focused on themselves for the first three bowl practice days. Friday through Sunday was about growing and enhancing capacity.
While the players take finals early this week, Mark Stoops and the staff will be focusing on Georgia Tech prep and gameplanning for the triple option.
It’ll present some new challenges for UK, no doubt.
Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot saw the same things Coach Stoops did from the Cats during practice this weekend.
Execution was good. Effort and energy were good. Mistakes were at a minimal.
That’s all good as Georgia Tech prep starts Thursday because Coach Eliot recalls preparing for the Yellow Jackets back in the 2012 ACC title game while at FSU.
How about the Cats themselves? Is the team ready to see the Paul Johnson triple option?
When run well, as we’ve said, it can be difficult to defend.
Some guys have seen it before though. Paintsville product Kash Daniel is one of them.
Hear from Stoops, Eliot and Daniel in the video.
