UK advance to Elite 8 with 86-75 win over UCLA in Sweet 16

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – De’Aaron Fox finished with a career-high 39 points to lead Kentucky to the Elite 8.  86-75 the final over UCLA in the Sweet 16 in Memphis Friday night.

Malik Monk went for 21 points.  Dominique Hawkins had 11 points and Derek Willis notched 8 points while grabbing 8 rebounds.

The Cats will meet North Carolina Sunday at 5:05 on CBS with a Final Four berth on the line.  UK beat UNC 76-79 in the 2011 East Regional finals.  The Tar Heels topped the Cats 74-61 in the 1995 Southeast Region finals.  UNC beat Kentucky 79-72 in the 1977 East Region title matchup.
