U.S. 27 in Garrard County closed after driver hits telephone pole

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A part of U.S. 27 was closed Friday morning after a vehicle ran into a telephone pole, according to emergency crews.

Garrard County 911 says it happened Thursday night near the McDonald’s.

Emergency crews say the driver hit the pole which broke, sending down some power lines as well.

No word from emergency officials on any injuries.
