Two teens organize rally against police brutality
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two teenagers organized a rally against police brutality on Wednesday evening in downtown Lexington. An estimated crowd of more than 200-people took park in the rally. The 16-year old organizers say the event was not an anti-police rally, but an anti-police brutality rally.
“I want people to take away that this is real! This is not something that just pops-up on your timeline and fades away, it’s something that affects every one of us. Whether you’re black, white, or hispanic, it could easily be you and even if it couldn’t easily be you, it could be your friend,” said Rozalyn Wingate, rally co-organizer.
