Two Teens Hurt In Crash

Officials had to cut two teens out of a car following a crash in Lexington.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the driver, Lucian Moody, sped around a corner and crashed into a tree in front of a home on Blairmore Road.

Moody and his girlfriend were trapped inside the car.

Firefighters cut them out and they were both taken to UK Hospital.

Their injuries were serious, but both are expected to survive. Moody’s girlfriend suffered a broken pelvis.

Police said they obtained a court order after Moody refused to give a blood sample.

He could face DUI charges, as well as assault charges because of his girlfriend’s injuries.
